Mas del Burga - Adults Only

We had to eat dinner wearing our coats because the rooms had no heating. The bathroom was in a corridor, and the bed and mattress were very old and uncomfortable. A terrible experience.

We left a €400 deposit to rent the farmhouse, and afterward were told there was minor damage to an inflatable and a table, estimated at about €60. On top of that, extra cleaning costs were deducted without a clear reason or enough documentation to support the amount. We hadn't signed a contract setting out these conditions or extra charges. We asked for an explanation and a breakdown, but the way the deposit was handled felt opaque, and the experience was very negative. I'd advise future clients to get the deposit terms, cleaning fees, and any other extra costs in writing before booking.

The estate could use more upkeep: the weeds in the parking area made it hard to drive through, and the entrances, especially the parking, need clearer signs because it's easy to get lost on arrival. My sister rented an indoor room and the whole outdoor area for my nephew's First Communion, and we had a wonderful day. Outside there are lots of mulberry trees for shade, a soccer field, animal enclosures, and more. The indoor room is nice, though in summer it's more pleasant outdoors. What made parts of the event uncomfortable was the owner's behavior and that of one of the two employees. The owner kept coming into our event area as if she were checking up on us, which felt unpleasant. One employee secretly took a plate of food without asking. That upset everyone there, though we'd have given her some if she'd asked. I think the owner and employees should improve how they treat customers, along with the maintenance.

Clara, the owner, was lovely, attentive, and helpful in every way, and we felt at home. The setting is ideal and so peaceful, yet only minutes from Reus. I have nothing but good things to say. We loved it and will definitely come back!
