The hotel is ideally placed for a stop in Riaza before crossing Sierra Norte towards Madrid, which is what our group of four was doing on a bike tour. The rooms are big and comfortable, with excellent bathrooms. Checking in took a while because there was no staff on site. We had to get the key from a wall safe, but the code didn't work at first. There was no restaurant service, though I think the hotel is busiest during ski season. Breakfast was very good. They have a microwave and kettle, but no bowls or other dishes to heat food in. More guest cooking facilities would have earned a higher rating.

We especially liked the decor and the views from our room. The house is large and beautiful, in a quiet spot very close to the center of Riaza. Our apartment room was spacious, the living room cozy, and the single bedrooms had plenty of room and really comfortable mattresses. The manager was lovely and helped us a lot during our stay. Great value for money.

It's a handy base for Riaza and the surrounding area, with the main square about a five-minute walk away and easy parking right outside. The rooms were spacious and clean, though the bathroom felt cramped, with barely enough room to sit on the toilet. There was only one bar of hand soap, and the shower had shower gel. We could hear the hallway whenever someone walked past, people talking in the next room, and loud music from another room until almost 11:30 pm. We still managed to rest, probably because there weren't many other guests. Breakfast is a buffet, not very extensive but enough for a decent meal. The manager was friendly and helpful. I'm taking off a star because the price feels high for the quality and services.
