Oscar, the owner, is great fun and might even play you a tune on the drums. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the bar sits right above the river with lovely food too. I enjoyed it enough to think about buying a mobile home or lodge on site, though it never happened. I’d highly recommend it for a meal, especially if you like fishing.

I never managed to book a stay. For five days I tried: the website booking links were broken, my four emails to the only listed address got no reply, and neither of the two phone numbers answered despite me calling both three times a day. On day five, someone finally picked up, but they spoke only Spanish. When they realized I couldn’t speak Spanish, they hung up on me. Thirteen calls and five days later, I still couldn’t reserve a place. Abysmal service for holiday accommodation that presumably needs to be booked somehow. I guess it’s only Spaniards allowed.

The shower tray was in awful shape and too shallow, so water ended up all over the floor. The bedding had holes, and the family room’s kitchen, as pictured, turned out to be a filthy, run-down shed. There was grease and dead insects on the shelf, dirty plates and cutlery with food still on them, and mouldy food in the rubbish. The door wouldn’t shut, so feral cats got inside. KEEP AWAY. This place is filthy and the owners don’t care.
