Hotel Pazo Carballo

We left happy and would definitely return, though there are a few things that could be better. The rooms are spacious, but ours felt cold and could use better air conditioning. The hotel itself is fine, the facilities work well, and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We were told there’d be a complimentary breakfast over the long weekend, which was fine and what we expected, but the cafeteria could be more active. The bathrooms only had two bottles of shower gel and shampoo, so I think they should provide more toiletries. Thank you.

The price was good for our one night with friends, and the rooms were clean. There were three couples, and we each ended up with a different bed arrangement: one bed, two separate beds, and two pushed together. Breakfast was poor, and the man serving it didn’t seem keen to help, just focused on getting us out of the room by 11:00.

The rooms were spacious and well equipped, with especially large single beds. Everything was very clean, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The staff are friendly and discreet: you hardly notice them, but they show up if you need something, which is great if you want privacy. There are plenty of public and private thermal baths a short drive away. You’ll need a car, though. San Paio has a pleasant riverside walk, but not much else. In the off season, breakfast means going to Rivadavia or another nearby town. There used to be a tobacco shop here, but we don’t know if they served breakfast. We’ll probably return. Thermal baths, nature, and a bit of peace and quiet suit us perfectly, and this hotel is ideal for that.

The owners were so kind, and I really appreciated that they offered a gluten-free breakfast. The room was clean and cozy, and the hotel facilities are impressive. The place itself is beautiful. We’ll definitely return, 100% recommended.
