Apartamentos Playa Galizano

La Corrala had a little patio, two bedrooms, a roomy bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen equipped with everything we needed. We were comfortable there, close to both the beach and town, and had a wonderful few days. Xavier welcomed us and pointed us toward places to visit and eat. We’d love to come back.

My daughters were completely taken with the little donkey in the parking lot, even though it isn’t part of the apartments. We heard it as soon as we arrived, and there was "Chiquitin" waving at us. The house had everything we needed, and Xavier made us feel at home and explained everything clearly. The beach, town, parks, and more are all easy to reach, making this a great base for exploring the area. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks, Xavier.

We booked El Pajar for August 23-30, 2025, as four adults, and the sofa issue made for an uncomfortable week. The living room had a three-seater for the four of us, so one person ended up watching TV in a chair. There wasn’t a table in front of the sofa either, which didn’t make much sense. The listing on the apartment website said the sofa converted into a double bed, which suited us because one of our group needed to get up early to work remotely. I saved a screenshot. When Xavier showed us the apartment, we said a sofa bed would have worked better than a regular sofa, as the site specified. He insisted the website didn’t say that, and we let it go because we weren’t sure we hadn’t made a mistake. He was so certain that we believed the error might be ours. When we checked later, the listing clearly did say sofa bed. We messaged Xavier on WhatsApp, but he only said he’d change the description and didn’t offer another solution. We found that rude. Two weeks later, the listing was still there. After that conversation, Xavier seemed irritated when we saw him and only greeted us from a distance. The beach was another problem, though not his fault: Galizano beach had been closed for two weeks due to sewage spills. Swimming was prohibited, and the sea looked brown and smelled awful. Keep that in mind.

We used this hotel as a base for day trips to Santander and Bilbao, and its central location worked well for visiting both. Our room was comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced, and having parking on site was handy. I’d recommend it.
