We loved having a drink outside in the late September sunshine, listening to the sparrows or chatting with other guests. The Honesty Bar was well stocked, and we had a lovely dinner there as well as breakfast each morning during our four nights. Our Garden Suite was beautifully furnished. On arrival, the welcome was warm and well organised, with a local map full of useful information and an email with restaurant suggestions. Many thanks to Reyes and Carlos and the lovely breakfast staff for all the care and effort that made our stay so special.

A real hidden gem, set in a peaceful spot in a historic house. The modern style is cosy and carefully thought through, and the owners are lovely people who clearly care about what they do. Breakfast uses local suppliers. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog and enjoy the outdoor areas. There's also free parking on site.

The food was excellent, with high quality at reasonable prices, and breakfast was delicious and made to order. The restored house has lovely rooms with splendid views over the hills, plus comfortable shared spaces and a self-service bar. It's in a rather isolated spot, about 1 km from the nearest small town, so walking there means a bit of a trek. That didn't bother us, as the shaded outdoor areas and pleasant interiors made it easy to stay put. Go and enjoy the peace.

A friendly little boutique hotel in a beautiful part of Cantabria. Our room, number 2, was large and airy, and breakfast was excellent. Great beaches are five minutes away by car, and Santander is about half an hour away.

The gardens were lovely, the staff were wonderful, and the building is beautiful. Great value too. Staying here felt like a treat.
