Hotel Palacio Torre de Galizano

We weren’t impressed, especially given what we paid for the stay and New Year’s dinner. The photos are misleading: the hotel is in a fairly urban area, and neighboring properties overlook the rooms. I’d suggest checking the street view before booking. There’s a lot for the owner and staff to learn about customer service and the guest experience. Look around, there are better places to stay. On arrival, the service felt basic and a bit cold. The hotel was missing things I’d normally expect, like a safe, iron, and ironing board. When we wanted to freshen our clothes before dinner, they only offered an iron used for tablecloths, and we had to bring it back within 10 minutes. We paid for the dinner set menu, which didn’t include wine. We ordered red wine with the meat course, but the lamb was completely raw and ruined the dish. I sent it back right away. Nobody apologized, and they didn’t offer any compensation, such as not charging me for the wine. Breakfast had some yogurt with fruit, toast, and pastries. Only after we’d filled up on those did the owner start offering hot options like scrambled eggs. It felt deliberate, as if they wanted us to eat the cheaper choices first before offering the more expensive ones.
