The location is good, but the property needs upgrades and the way it's run needs work. It was hard to tell who was staff and who was staying there. When we arrived, someone gave us only a very quick look around, and the place seemed nearly empty apart from a few guys hanging around. Random people kept turning up during our stay, so we never knew who was in charge. On the first night, people, possibly staff, came into the house noisily at 3am, waking us up. The next night there seemed to be an Italian karaoke event that went on until midnight. I wanted to raise the noise, but couldn't figure out who worked there. After the manager or owner replied to this, I can only say I've stayed in surf hostels all over the world and never had anything like this happen. Blaming guests for choosing the wrong place instead of hearing the feedback and acting on it says a lot about how it's managed.

I found the surf house comfortable and really clean, just 5min from the beach. The staff are kind and friendly, and the owner is always willing to help with anything. It's a great place to surf, relax, and enjoy good company. I'd definitely recommend it for the comforts and family feel. See you soon SurfToLive 🤙🏽

The walk to the surf beach was great, and the location worked really well for a beginner like me. Somo is beautiful, not overly touristy, but still has what you need for a holiday. The regular ferry from Santander is a fun ride too. I had a fantastic stay at the SURFtoLIVE house. The staff were friendly, helped me with surfing, encouraged me, and made me feel at home. They worked hard to keep the place clean and guests happy. There was plenty of delicious food, too. It's a lovely option for a quiet break with good company and meals cooked for you.

You can walk straight to Playa de Somo, even with your wetsuit and board, and the hostel has spots to relax, sunbathe, and wash your board and gear. The staff are warm and friendly. They also offer Surf Safari trips to other beach breaks in Catambria, which is a great way to try different surf spots. I'd recommend this surf house if you're after surfing, parties, and a good time.
