The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds are really comfortable. Hosteria el Laurel feels like a private home, with the family living there and keeping an eye on you throughout your stay. There’s a garage, though you have to park outside in the garden. The facilities are okay, and so are the bathrooms, but I think they could use a small remodel. Breakfast was pretty poor, just some bread, jam, coffee, orange juice, and processed sweets.

It’s a lovely spot for a quiet escape, and the owner is courteous and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was excellent 🔥. Planes are the only interruption, though they rarely fly. The downsides for me were the high price and no air conditioning or refrigerator in the room. It must once have been a very good hotel, but over time it seems to have been neglected and is gradually falling into disrepair.

The owner was very attentive, treated us well, and suggested places to visit nearby. Our room was spacious and quiet. I’d consider coming back, though the floorboards creaked as we walked and the shower head needs replacing. The water flow was too weak for my liking.

Everything was very clean, and breakfast was included with a good selection. The owners were friendly and attentive, and the place is close to everything, though a car is needed to get around. We had a really great three-night stay. At first, we were put in a triple room with three single beds, even though we’d requested a double when booking. The owner said a double room was available and moved us there the next day. Highly recommended.

The best part was breakfast: it was delicious, included in the 40 euros a night, and for all four days I could eat it alone in my pajamas, straight out of bed. Can anyone beat that? I stayed alone in a triple room in September. The guesthouse has chalet-style rooms upstairs, with the owners living downstairs. The garden is private but a bit neglected; the surrounding green, picturesque countryside is wonderful. Outside is peaceful, and the rooms could use some improvement. The owner seemed a little wary and could be pushy, though it is his house. Just remember it’s only one star.
