Hostal Porta de Núria

The restaurant is what really makes this place stand out. It's basic, but the food is great and good value compared with other restaurants in town. I stayed two nights in a very large room with a very large bathroom. It wasn't the prettiest place, but it was comfortable enough. For a hostel, the accommodation is very good and the price is excellent for what you get. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful.

The room quality is in line with the price. The hotel has a perfect location, very helpful staff, and an optimal breakfast.

I was there for two nights, and the room was dirty. There were hairs all over the bed sheets 😭. The location is ideal, though, right by the train stop for going up to Nuria. Breakfast cost 7€ and came with toast, tomatoes, ham, and cheese, plus some cakes for anyone who likes a sweet breakfast.

The staff were so sweet, a group of older people, probably 65+, serving us in the restaurant. It felt like one of those authentic Catalan places trying to keep up with the times while keeping the meals traditional. My room was small. Apparently it was the size of a one-bedroom apartment or something, though I don't know since I've never lived in an apartment 😭. I haven't been in ones with rooms that small, either. The bathroom is why I gave it 3 ⭐. It was nothing special, but it was a breath of fresh air compared with my single-person room.
