The buggy gave us trouble, but one quick call to the club shop did the trick. Someone brought a replacement and swapped it over in about 10 minutes. The course itself was fantastic and in great condition. A must if you’re golfing around Malaga or Marbella, and I’d definitely come back on a future trip to Malaga.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here because communication was so poor. I arrived at 7:30 PM expecting reception to be open until 8:00 PM, but it had shut at 5:00 PM for the holiday season. There’d been no advance warning or message through the Expedia app. The hotel was empty and locked, with no directions beyond a sign at the entrance listing a Spanish phone number. My phone couldn’t make international calls, so I had to ask someone back home to call for me. They told me to drive 10 minutes to another hotel to check in and pay, just to get a code for the building and my room. The room was clean and fine, but the property felt abandoned and there was no staff around to help with anything. That lack of care made it not worth the stay.

Update: It looks like we’ve been charged twice for our one-night booking, once by hotels.com and then for more than double that amount by the resort. We’re seriously unimpressed, so watch out. We’re here for one night because of a local engagement. The room is comfortable and very nice, but the cleaners missed a cigarette packet on the floor beside the fridge. There’s a kettle, but no spoons.

The fairways were clean, the views were lovely, and the course was well maintained and challenging. It’s a very good golf resort. The driving range is a short five-minute drive in your own car, next to the padel fields. Just play and enjoy!
