Hotel Rincón Sol

There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars nearby, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel is right in front of the beach, with lovely sea views and easy access to the shore. It’s in a nice town just outside Malaga, close enough to the city for a relaxing coastal break. We had a great time and would stay again. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway near Malaga.

The hotel’s best feature is the beach location, and it feels like the only reason the place exists. Inside, the rooms need a proper update: tiles are cracked and all the furniture has broken corners. The floor was dirty, the towels smelled as if they’d been used and not washed properly, and the bed was rock hard. Every light has a harsh white glow, so even the little bedside lamps don’t make the room feel cozy. Early in the morning, you can hear doors and cleaners outside, making a good night’s sleep impossible. The WiFi was so poor I couldn’t stream anything.

We parked right outside the hotel and then took the bus to Malaga, which was very convenient. The stop is right in front, and the hotel is right beside the beach. Breakfast was excellent, and having it with a sea view was a lovely treat. The front desk and breakfast staff were so kind and attentive. We really enjoyed our stay at Rincon Sol and would love to return.

The main problem was the staff. I complained about the WiFi and the noisy people upstairs, and nothing was done. The WiFi didn’t work at all in my third floor room, only downstairs. Staff said maintenance would come, but no one showed up in the three days I was there. The walls are so thin I could hear every word from people on the floor above, and even the next door guy snoring all night was extremely loud. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
