Patio de las Flores

The rooms and beds were lovely, and the barbecue was a real plus. The house is right in the center of the village, near the town hall, supermarkets, and a bakery. My one gripe is that the living room feels a little small, and the terrace photos don't match what you find there: there aren't any sofas or other furniture.

The good parts were the roomy bedrooms, really comfortable beds, and a huge terrace with a great barbecue. The fridge, though, was tiny, and the freezer was so frosted over that even a bag of ice wouldn't fit. The grill grates were in very poor shape and could use a clean. We stayed three nights in one of the apartments, but the experience didn't quite work for us. The owner came across as cold and distant from the start. There was no toilet paper beyond what the previous guests had left, and no bin bags or dishwasher tablets either. When I asked for toilet paper, she didn't seem pleased, so we bought the other things ourselves to avoid bothering her again. After we left and let her know on WhatsApp, she didn't reply.

Right in the middle of Riópar, this lovely little country house worked perfectly for a couple, and could even suit two. The shared terrace has a section that's semi-private, while the barbecue is shared with the other apartment. We found the place beautiful and comfortable, and everything was so clean you could eat off the floor. The TV and sofa were especially comfortable. We did miss having a dish rack, dishcloths, and kitchen towels. The owners were very kind and helpful, thanks so much for everything. There are some great hiking routes around Riópar! 👌

We got really helpful advice on getting around the area and on the routes we'd planned, and the service was splendid. The house itself was charming, with a tiled staircase and a lovely patio full of plants in the morning sun. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed, the furnishings were well kept, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
