That summer stay four years ago was awful and strangely unsettling. The bedding was ancient and full of holes, and the bottom sheet didn’t match the top one or even the pillowcase. The towels were rough and looked like they were from 1920. There was one outlet in the room, which felt like a real electrocution risk, and the stairwell was dark with no lighting. The women running the place seemed very strange, even asking what time I’d be back as I was leaving. I was honestly scared. I seemed to be the only guest, which wasn’t surprising given how bad everything was. The best part was being told not to take the towels when I left, as if those tattered rags were worth keeping. It felt like a horror movie, and it was incredibly expensive. Is it still open?

The room was cold when we arrived because they only switched the heating on after seeing us come in, though under the blankets it wasn’t too bad. We also had to call half an hour ahead to get the water heater turned on for a shower. Booking.com supposedly included breakfast, but there wasn’t any when we got there. We put up a “No Entry” sign, yet they still came in to clean. They may have meant well, but they shouldn’t enter when we’ve marked the room that way. Cleaning itself was reasonable. The beds were just comfortable enough for a couple of nights, but the pillows were worn flat and the towels were small and very worn. This guesthouse has some peculiar owners. It’ll do if you only need a place for a couple of nights, but after all these years in business, some things could be improved.
The owners were friendly, the surroundings were lovely, and the price was good. The room was very clean and had all the basics, including a private bathroom and towels. The beds, though, were the real problem: uncomfortable, noisy whenever we moved, and too short for us. They need replacing.
The owners are quite a character, and the service was phenomenal. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very clean too, although the towels looked a little worn. The room was a bit chaotic, but nothing major. We stayed one night.
The owner was completely unsympathetic and treated us terribly. They added €35 per night because our three-year-old daughter slept in our bed. The room was tiny, the beds were awful, and there was only one outlet. I wouldn’t recommend the place. There are much better and cheaper options nearby.
