Bressol

We never got to stay because we couldn’t get the keys. The restaurant was closed, one phone number was switched off and nobody answered the other, even though the lady knew we were coming. She didn’t pick up for hours, and the owner only called us back at 1 AM that night. I’d never recommend this to anyone.

Our room had its own full bathroom and access code, so we had complete privacy in a very quiet place. We stayed in the quadruple room, part of a huge apartment with four separate rooms. The only shared area was the spotless kitchen, which had everything we needed for breakfast. The facilities were perfect and brand new. It’s right in the center of Ripoll, and there’s free parking a five-minute walk away, opposite the Mossos d'Esquadra police station. My only complaint was checkout at 11:00 AM. I was there for a mountain bike race and wouldn’t have time to shower before leaving.

We’d happily repeat the stay. The rooms share common spaces, and everything was central, clean and recently renovated with great taste. Cat Can Guetes staff were so friendly and helpful, from booking and check-in through to answering any questions.

We were surprised at how expensive restaurants could be in such a small town, so having a kitchen was a real help. We could pick up a few things at the local supermarket and make some meals ourselves. Breakfast is included too, set out in the kitchen for you to serve yourself: juice and smoothie cartons, pastries, little pots of jam and Nutella, plus capsule coffee. It made the place feel more like home, almost family-like. Bressol is a cozy tourist apartment in the center of Ripoll, five minutes from the train station. The rooms are well equipped and a good size, and there’s a shared living and dining room with a small kitchen. It has the amenities and services you’d expect from a higher-class hotel. We had a couple of small issues, nothing serious, but the service was outstanding. We were in touch with the manager on WhatsApp, and they sorted each one right away, even coming up to our rooms if needed. Check-in for non-online payments happens at a separate place five minutes away. This accommodation really added to our trip, and I’d highly recommend it.
