The ceilings recreate the painted designs from the building's days as a small palace, and original details like the red pine floors, more than 100 years old, sit alongside the newer construction beautifully. There are comfortable apartments with one or two bedrooms, and parking is available. It's a lovely country house in Roa de Burgos, right in the heart of the Ribera del Duero. Highly recommended.

The decor is quite nice and the place is clean. Getting there is tricky with all the one-way streets, though, and bring a corkscrew since they didn't have one. Hard to believe in wine country!
