El Bulin de Robregordo

Getting here from Madrid was quick and easy, and the location is peaceful with hiking trails nearby. We had a great weekend. The apartment felt warm and cozy even with the cold outside, and sleeping there was comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, and the fireplace had everything needed to use it.

Ants were the biggest problem. We found them in both the bathroom and bedroom, and I'm sure some came home with us. There were ants all over the bathroom too, which badly needs renovating. The shower is tiny, with broken tiles around the controls. Dust had clearly been left for ages, and the place was barely clean when we arrived, despite guests being expected to leave it clean. The duplex has a large living and dining area, though the bedroom felt too small for me and had just one window. There's only one wardrobe for our things. They did leave a couple of coffee capsules and sugar packets, but the sofas were in awful shape, with bedspreads thrown over them. Proper covers wouldn't cost much. The value was terrible. We felt ripped off. The house rules also attach a €50 penalty to everything. We're adults, and shouldn't be penalized for every little thing.

The apartment was a reasonable price for its size, and spacious for two. It has a nice rustic look overall. Opening the door with a phone was convenient, and being allowed to check out at 5 pm was much appreciated. Logs and firelighters were included for the fireplace, though getting it started was hard without enough kindling. We stayed in room E, and sounds from the neighboring apartment came through the roof so clearly it felt like they were in our room. The bed was very soft and unstable, and I kept sliding toward the sides. The bathtub shower had weak pressure and was very hard to adjust using a phone. The radiators were shut off when we arrived, despite the instruction not to touch them. Once opened, they made a lot of noise and cycled on and off, though we weren't cold overall. Some details looked cheap and poorly maintained, like the worn IKEA paper lamps, which didn't fit the house's style. With the windows open, you can just about hear the A1 motorway, but that probably won't bother most people.

Robregordo is very quiet. We spent two nights in the duplex and found it clean, cozy, and well equipped. The kitchen worked well, and both the sofas and bed were comfortable. Everything about the service was excellent. Booking, arrival, and getting in touch about the keys were all easy. Pets are welcome under good conditions and without any hassle. We felt at home and will definitely stay with them again.
