The only small thing missing was a kettle in the common areas for boiling water. Otherwise, wow, for a Compostela hostel I’d rate it 6/5. It’s clean and modern, and reception is kind and helpful. The rooms feel quite private, with just four people in a large room, two on each of separate levels. Each room has its own toilet and shower. There’s a towel dryer, radiator, storage, a table, and more. Fantastic for the price.

After our long day in the mountains, this was a very welcome place to stay. The food was very good value, 11 euros for a big plate, and the receptionist was really welcoming. The rooms had been newly decorated, the bed was very comfy, and it was nice and quiet. The barman seemed to be in a bad mood much of the time, though he was like that with everyone, not just us.

There’s a nice heater and shower in the great room. You can pay to eat at the restaurant downstairs, which has a pilgrim menu.

The front desk staff were so helpful that they raised my rating to 5 stars, even though I’d give the rooms 4. There wasn’t much choice around, so it was a welcome stop after a long walk. We had lunch at the restaurant, and I was surprised by how excellent it was, especially since I hadn’t expected much. The prices were reasonable, and the waitress was exceptional and friendly.
