At 20 euros a night, this place is hard to fault. Carmen greeted us warmly, and she and her colleague were so helpful. The site is quiet and extremely clean, with modern toilets, showers, washing-up facilities, and large washing machines and dryers. Most pitches are flat and have electricity, grey and black water, and fresh water refills. The restaurant was closed for holidays during our two-night stay, but Ronda is a short walk away. You can also get a taxi to setenil de las bodegas, 50 euros for a round trip with an hour’s wait, or 60 euros on weekends. Fresh bread can be preordered, and there’s even a mini mart. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

We ate at the restaurant twice and found plenty of choice. The pitches are pretty and spacious, and the toilet and shower blocks were spotless. Reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Robert and Jean Wainwright

A lovely pool and a fantastic site that’s run really efficiently. The only bother was hearing loud parties somewhere in the village until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. They weren’t happening at the campsite, and obviously the site can’t control them. Best to avoid those nights if you’re a light sleeper.

The campsite is excellent, with flat, paved pitches and clean, well-kept bathrooms. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful, and I heard her speaking both English and German. We didn’t try the pool, but it looked lovely. Ronda is about 1.5 km away on foot, though that might be a tough walk in peak summer. Our only downside was that the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast.
