The receptionist who handled our check-in was also there at breakfast, and she was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. After a few places elsewhere in Andalusia where speaking English or broken Spanish seemed to bother staff, it was a relief to feel comfortable and looked after. Breakfast was very good, with yogurt, meats and cheeses, fresh orange juice, pastries, bread, biscuits, cereal, and cooked eggs, sausages, and beans in tomato sauce. Hotel San Francisco is a charming, authentic-looking spot right in the heart of Ronda. It was easy to step outside and feel part of the town. Our room was clean, pleasant, a good size, and comfortable, especially for a building this narrow and traditional. I’d happily stay here again.

We had a lovely three-night stay over the last weekend in April. The hotel was quiet, our room was large and clean, and the terrace had great views. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The four-person room worked well for our two-night visit while exploring Ronda. It had good ventilation, a clean bathroom, and comfortable beds. The location was fantastic and the price was reasonable. Gracias!

Ronda was lovely, but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. The location is great and the breakfast buffet was decent for 9 euros, but the room had a lot of problems. It was small and tucked under a sloping attic ceiling; the bed was small and too hard, and so were the pillows. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower head was broken with weak water pressure, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Parking is in an underground public garage for 15 euros a day, paid through the hotel, otherwise it costs more.

A short walk from the gorge, with a great location for Ronda. The service was very good, and staff were happy to point us toward places to visit. We took the breakfast add-on. The selection was limited, but there was enough to set us up for a day on the bike. This is a great hotel for bikers: they have a garage area where you can store, wash, and do simple maintenance on your bike, which is a real luxury. Our room was clean and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and we didn’t hear the neighbours.
