Arena Center

The apartments have everything you need, and the pool area is great. The buffet is very Spanish in style, so don’t expect a European-style breakfast, but there’s enough choice to suit everyone. Staff were friendly throughout.

The one-bedroom apartment had plenty of room, and the location was ideal, close to a supermarket, bars, and restaurants. Food was plentiful with good choices, and there were microwaves for anyone who likes their food piping hot, like me. The indoor pool is small but good. There’s no walk-in shower.

The staff were great and it’s a nice hotel. I’d have liked more fresh fruit and vegetables at breakfast and dinner, as there was too much processed food.

On the 17th of August, we checked in and were assigned a room. Three hours later, after we had unpacked all our bags, we were told we had to move. We tried to reason with reception because we had three children, aged 11 months, 8, and 11 years. They said mistakes happen and offered one day of parking as compensation. We accepted that mistakes can happen, but that wasn’t the end of it. The kids’ bed hadn’t been made, and reception gave us the sheets and towels to sort out ourselves. Whenever we walked past reception, we didn’t even get a hello. It left the whole family frustrated and disappointed, and felt unprofessional. I’m formally complaining about the poor service we received at Hotel Arena Center reception during our recent stay. It fell well below what I expected and significantly affected the quality of our stay. As guests at a hotel with this reputation, we expected a certain level of service. This experience tarnished my impression of the establishment. Please investigate and take the steps needed to prevent this happening again. I’d appreciate a response and a resolution that addresses the inconvenience. I trust you’ll treat the matter seriously and look forward to a prompt reply. Sincerely, Ricardo Matias.
