We'd booked an apartment with a terrace, but got somewhere else, a sort of two-story tower. It was clean enough, but dated and basic. There were no single beds, and we missed having a kettle and a corkscrew.

I was there for five weeks, meant to be resting after major surgery, but the noise made that difficult. Early morning deliveries came along the street behind the beachfront restaurants, and the apartment had very poor soundproofing. You could hear the neighbors' conversations and the heavy rattan chairs they moved, especially when they were out on the terrace. We also had neighbors who stayed up late at night. The garage was so small that parking was impossible, and someone else was often in our spot. The building feels designed to pack in vacationers. The apartment itself was nice and clean, hence the three stars. Avoid it at all costs.

For weekly rentals, they don't give you a physical key when you arrive, only a digital one that works at random. There's nobody there in person, so you could get locked out, as happened to us. The only contact was a WhatsApp number, answered by an AI. We ended up with our car trapped in the garage and all our belongings locked inside the apartment. The AI told us to go to the Roses agency, 2 km away, at around 10:30 PM, to get physical keys from an automated lockbox. This is a scam and a trap. Avoid at all costs!

We rented apartment 5 on the third floor from AGI RESCATOR RESORT (Avenue de Rhode 201 - 17480 ROSAS) for 15 days in August, and came away very disappointed. The air conditioning didn't work properly. The building sits behind the beachfront restaurants, so deliveries brought noise all day. Drivers played their car radios loudly, parked badly and blocked people trying to leave, leading to constant honking. It's about equally far from Roses and Santa Margarida, so shops aren't within easy walking distance. There were some good points inside: a comfortable sofa, a dishwasher, an oven, a halogen cooktop, a comfortable mattress and pillow, a bathtub, good water pressure, a washing machine and an ironing board. The terrace had a table and chair, a cushioned armchair and a coffee table. But there were plenty of problems too. In the living room, a baseboard was broken, the remote was missing a battery, satellite service was out for a week while the agency took several follow-ups to respond, and a chandelier bulb was missing. The kitchen didn't have enough dishes for four people, only enough for two meals, and had no ramekins, kitchen knives or bowls. The cutting board was only 20 cm and the frying pan 24 cm. Water seeped through a wall, and the freezer handle was broken. There were no clothespins on the terrace, and its light didn't work. The bed base was flimsy and shifted whenever we moved; the closet had only hanging rails, very few hangers, and the hangers couldn't be moved. The bathroom needed more towel rails, the window wouldn't close, and there was no storage. Our underground parking space was extremely small, with hardly any room to maneuver. The pool was well maintained and the little artificial grass garden was nice, though it was a shame that people looking down on it used the garden as their terrace while having drinks. We could contact the agency on WhatsApp, but while they replied, they didn't act. We reported the missing remote batteries and lightbulb, along with the broken satellite cable on arrival. After several follow-ups, it took a week for them to bring a new cable and remote control board. After a heavy storm, we messaged just to report a leak, not expecting anyone to come fix it, and were practically bombarded with messages saying they didn't have time to deal with it. I don't recommend this place.
