Camping & Apartments Joncar Mar

We stayed for two nights last week on our way home, and it was just right for a stopover. The beach is only a short walk away, and the staff were friendly. We stayed on the reception side and the facilities were spotless. Every time we went to use them, it seemed someone was cleaning.

The campsite was great and the staff were friendly. Our pitch was a bit too close to the road, with quite heavy traffic, which was a shame. The toilets and showers were excellent and very clean. There was plenty of light, handy for cooking but not so good for sleeping. The beach and town centre are an easy walk away. Would recommend.

The aire and two other campsites in Roses were full, so Camping Joncar Mar Roses was our fourth choice. Getting our 7m+ motorhome into the pitch was difficult. The spaces were very tight, and with the site busy, it felt like we were squeezed together, more like an aire. It cost €37 per night in October, with no ACSI prices. On the plus side, the location is fabulous, close to both the beach and town, and the toilet and shower block was excellent and immaculately clean.

Other sites in Roses couldn't offer us a parcel, so Hobson’s Choice brought us here. Thankfully, we weren't disappointed. The location is fabulous and it's the closest to Roses. The seafront promenade is a short walk away, and town takes 15/20 minutes on foot. The site is well organised, though getting in and out of parcels can be a little tight. Showers are spotless and regularly maintained, and there's a handy shop for basics. We really enjoyed our week.
