The renovated rooms are quiet, with a nice side view of the sea. They’re a bit small and only have the essentials, but the shower and toilet are fine. The night porter was very nice, though he speaks only Spanish. Breakfast was medium quality, and the daytime reception staff weren’t always very nice. I called before booking to ask whether parking needed to be reserved and was told no. When we arrived, there was no parking available. After I explained and asked again, I got a rather unfriendly reply to use the public parking behind the hotel. That works at 6am or 11pm, but during the day it’s busy with beach and restaurant guests. Public parking around the hotel gets very busy, so keep that in mind.

AVOID. We’ve only been here one day and still have three days to go. We booked two rooms through booking.com for my friend’s birthday. Online the hotel is described as “beach front” and advertises a spa and lounge relaxation area, spa facilities, an open air bath, and concierge service. Our experience since arriving has been really bad. We asked for two rooms next to each other. The manager was at the front desk while we explained that we’d sent messages through different channels. We were ignored on WhatsApp, and the only reply on booking.com was that “nothing can be guaranteed.” The manager wouldn’t speak to us directly. Even though she was right there, she kept whispering to an employee, who then came back to relay messages, without making eye contact. I found that really poor service and honestly quite rude. We eventually sorted it out by paying to upgrade to rooms near each other. Nobody explained the building’s facilities, what’s around the area, or how anything worked. We were only asked, “what slot would you like for breakfast?” If the facilities I mentioned at the start exist, we don’t know about them, apart from the paid spa facilities. The pool area is tiny for a hotel with rooms across four floors and at least 20 rooms on each floor. It fits about eight people comfortably before everyone starts bumping into one another. I understand that we booked different levels of rooms through a very confusing booking system, but the hotel still fell short on communication, customer service, and explaining its amenities and the area. The manager ignored us, was generally impolite, didn’t say hello or introduce herself, never apologized for the unanswered messages, and offered no real help. The other staff don’t say good morning, act friendly, or offer help either. When we asked for beach towels, the answer was simply, “we don’t do those,” even though we can see other guests taking towels to the beach and leaving them outside their rooms. If you have any needs or requests, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The only friendly person we’ve met was the young woman with curly hair and glasses who checked us in. Edit: management is still ignoring the main point of this review, which is the customer experience. The rooms themselves weren’t the problem. It was the staff and management’s attitudes, behavior, and communication, including basic politeness, speaking to customers directly, and saying good morning at the front desk.

Everything was spotless, and there’s parking right next door. The doors are a nuisance, though: they don’t shut easily, so guests end up banging them. The bar and pool music is dreadful, repetitive muzak. With so many older guests, I’m surprised the hotel hasn’t realized people might not enjoy it. It would put me off returning.

The staff made us feel unwelcome from the start. They didn’t greet us, seemed to dislike tourists, and the breakfast manager was especially impolite. Also, don’t leave your car in the Hotel Eletric Charge point for more than 2 hours. They didn’t tell us beforehand that it could cost around 100 euros. When I raised the issue, Director (Josep Empasa) wouldn’t help and called me Anti-Social for no reason. What kind of director behaves like that?
