The Bay of Roses is stunning, and the hotel is right by the lovely beach and promenade. Our room and the rest of the place were clean and practical. The food was fresh with lots to choose from, and the bar was good value. Staff were friendly and efficient 🙂
There’s a good selection at dinner, and the menu changes through the week. Breakfast was just okay. The beds are firm but comfortable for most people. It’s a pleasant Spanish-style hotel close to the seafront, kept very clean, with friendly, hardworking staff who are happy to help.
The beds were clean and comfortable, and the hotel is right by the sea, with a long promenade and the centre only a few minutes’ walk away. There was a great choice of food, but it wasn’t always hot. A microwave was available if you wanted to warm it up.
The water was warm and calm, with no jellyfish, so it was a nice spot for a swim. The sand gets scorching hot, though, and there’s hardly any shade.
The calm, shallow water and long stretch of fine white sand make this Alt Empordà bay handy for families with young children and older people. The area has been known since Greek and Roman times, when early settlements were established. Visit Empuries and Roses Ciutadella too. The beach is by Cap de Roses, with its striking rock formations, and the high pyrinees are nearby.
