Three days before our reservation, which we’d made two months earlier, they told us they couldn’t accommodate us because one of the two owners was in the hospital. There was still another owner, though. I suspect they preferred a different customer who was booking the whole weekend, since I’d reserved four bungalows for Saturday night. I’d also written shortly after booking to ask about dinner at their restaurant that Saturday, and they never replied. They treated us like idiots. This was the worst thing that’s happened to me as a traveler. They’re absolutely disgraceful and despicable. If I could report them, I would. Stay away.

The room was clean and the receptionist was lovely, but the noise made it impossible for us to sleep. The couple in the next room argued loudly and banged on the floor from 3 to 6 in the morning. We couldn’t do anything about it, and the hotel offered no solution or compensation. Paying €175 for two nights wasn’t worth it when we couldn’t even rest.

I wouldn’t trust this place. I booked several days ahead, then got a call the day before saying they had a problem they couldn’t resolve and were cancelling my reservation. They suggested a hotel in La Puebla de Valverde, saying it was nearby, but it really wasn’t. I cancelled and found somewhere else.

Everything was clean and tidy during our one-night stay. Isabel greeted us and was very friendly. A full 10 out of 10!

Our room, Thyme, was spacious, lovely, and very clean. Breakfast wasn’t included, but for €5.50 per person we got coffee or tea, toast, pastries, orange juice, and more. Isabel was a delight, friendly and helpful when she checked us in. We arrived in the afternoon and a pleasant, helpful gentleman welcomed us and handed over the room key. We went into Rubielos de Mora, just two minutes from the hotel and absolutely beautiful. We’re not sure if the festivities had just ended, but many bars were closed and not serving, so we had to go to Mora de Rubielos for dinner. We’ll definitely come back.
