The food was excellent and well presented, with good service, an interesting wine list, proper glasses, and reasonable prices. The made-to-order potato omelet with black truffle from Rubielos costs €12 for two, though it’s a small portion for four. The set menu is €18. Chiringuito del Jardín at Hotel Montaña operated as a bar, café, and cocktail lounge for two months. Its little kitchen is separate from the hotel’s main kitchen and the other owners. The small starter menu focuses on local products. At lunch they serve a basic but interesting set menu with a twist, though the Medieval menu was much better. Besides the spectacular truffle omelet, choices include hamburgers, salads, pork ribs, fajitas, pulled pork, and other dishes that mix cuisines with plenty of flavor. They set up the beach bar and restaurant last summer. I don’t know whether they’ll return this year, so check with the hotel in July or August, or by the first week of September at the latest. They said they’d reopen, but they’re from Zaragoza and may have other summer plans. If they do come back, it’ll be worth visiting.
