There were dogs barking outside, so you’d better be high as a kite or drunk enough to fall asleep before your head hits the pillow. The rooms smelled of mold, and hygiene was below acceptable. I’d rate it higher if the price were lower.

I don’t have much to say. I was hiking the Camino de Santiago and stayed there overnight because it was what we found. It was quiet, and I don’t think there were many other guests. After a whole day of hiking, you arrive tired and just want to sleep.

Everything seemed very clean, but the bathroom had a horrible sewer smell. Our room was on the second floor, up stairs, and getting there became tiring.

We were glad we didn’t let earlier reviews put us off. The welcome was friendly, it felt hospitable and practical, and at €60 a night in high season, with Baiona packed, it’s a bargain.
