The clean sheets, comfortable mattress, and helpful receptionist were the few good points. The room was badly maintained: the shower and toilet drains were blocked, the shower door had come off its hinges and wouldn’t close, and taps dripped all night. There was no toilet paper. No kettle, cups, or glasses either, and the tiny TV had no control on hearing. It was too hot overnight and cold in the morning. The coffee machine in reception only served coffee and had empty cups. After 10pm and before 8am there was no receptionist, and the outside doors were locked. I wouldn’t stay here unless I had no choice.

The gardens at La Pardina were astonishing. I only wish the water fountain had been working, it must be beautiful. We came for a weekend of hiking and exploring the area, and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a good size and clean, and the homemade food was just what we needed to recharge after our hikes.

The staff were thoughtful and kept going the extra mile during our winter holiday. The rooms could use an update, but ours was clean and comfortable, and we have no complaints. Hopefully we’ll come back next season.

The room was probably acceptable for what we paid, but the restaurant seemed geared more toward bus tourists than hotel guests. There were two buses there. It was hard to find, and after we left they put up a closed sign.

Very basic. The bidet was blocked and leaking.
