B&B Domus Atilia

I loved staying here. The place feels very new and clean, with a pool and plenty of outdoor spots to relax. Its shared spaces almost give it a hostel feel. As a cyclist, I was glad to have a locked garage for my bike, which felt very secure. The owner was so kind and gave me lots of helpful information for exploring the city. I can't thank her enough!

Breakfast was varied and good, and Irma was a cheerful, lovely person with plenty of great stories. The room itself had several problems, though. The shower was so tiny I kept bumping the water control while trying to wash, and the bed was rock hard. I sleep on my side, and my ribs hurt in the morning. Our room was on the second floor, where the Wi-Fi only worked near the door or in the hallway. The air conditioning barely got the room down to about 74F, so I was sweating all night.

The bed was great and I slept comfortably. The accommodation is right in the historic heart of Sagunto, and the owner was very friendly, explaining all the details, even why each studio has its name. A fantastic place to stay.

The room was spacious, with an extra bed upstairs if we needed it, and the gardens brought in lots of birdsong. Apart from that, it was wonderfully quiet. The hotel has the feel of an old Roman house, complete with a small shrine. Breakfast was lovely, with meats, cheeses, yogurt, cakes, and fresh rolls, and we never left hungry. It was good value and a handy base for exploring town. Wi-Fi was hit and miss, with regular dropouts, so not great for streaming or gaming. The parking was in a public car park 300m away, so I dropped Deb at Domus Atilia first. The lady whose name I sadly never got was fantastic. She spoke very little English, but knew so much about the town and its ancient history; with Google Translate, she did a great job showing us around.
