We could walk everywhere from here, with the shopping area, Plaza Mayor, museums, and other shops all close by. Our room was affordable and the hotel was good overall, though the TV was quite small. We arrived before the 14:00 check-in with our suitcases, and the man at the front desk let us leave them there while we went out. The cleaning lady was lovely and courteous too. The staff were so accommodating.

The view from the top floor is great, and the staff were friendly. The location is a big plus. My room felt dated, though, and the walls are so thin I woke up hearing people talking next door. There’s not much in the room beyond the bed, TV, blankets, towels, and soap.

We got two rooms for €80 on a weekday in October, and the 6th-floor city view was lovely. The hotel has a charming traditional look, it’s central but quiet at night, and the reception staff were friendly. It was clean, too. The metal shutters blocked a lot of light, heat, and noise. Check-in at 14:00 and checkout at 12:00 worked well for us, and the train station is an 18-minute walk away. The main drawback was the mattress in room 607. It was an old, hard 190x140 cm mattress that dipped toward the middle. My parents’ mattress was softer and seemed newer, so this one should really be replaced. The soundproofing is poor: I could hear my parents in the next room. The AC wasn’t working, maybe because it had been centrally switched off at the end of October, and the room felt warm and stuffy. The shower pressure wasn’t great, though the water temperature was good, which is understandable in an older building on the 6th floor. The elevator is a tight fit for four people with luggage, but we never waited more than a minute. A firmer, larger pillow would have suited me, though that’s personal preference. A good option for budget travelers.

Just a basic hotel, and I only stayed one night. The staff were okay, neither great nor awful. I got up late and missed breakfast. When I asked the woman on the morning shift, she confirmed breakfast was over. Then, as I rushed out at checkout, she added, “oh and you had breakfast reserve too.” It sounded sarcastic to me. So, yeah... lol.
