The outside space overlooking the river was fabulous, and it was great value too. Our room was huge compared with what I'm used to, with a big bathroom and shower, plus a fridge and two bins, which was a nice change. The decor wasn't to my taste, but it was well done. The air conditioning had a mind of its own, whatever I did with it, and left the room a bit too hot or too cold. There's also an event space, though it wasn't being used while we were there.

The location was amazing, a perfect base for exploring. I was disappointed there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room. If I could have made a hot drink there, it would've been 100% perfect.

The front desk staff were great and friendly, and it's an attractive spot with an easy, very short walk to the cathedrals and Roman Bridge. There was no casino, bar, or restaurant open as of September 2022. My room was a nice size with a comfortable bed, but being on the ground floor off a side entrance made it feel a bit like a bunker, with too little natural light. I'd stay again, but ask for an upstairs room.

Room 107 looked out over the river and little waterfalls. Street parking can be a challenge, though a nearby car park offers a 20% discount, bringing the day rate to around 13,40. The rating of 9.1 seems on point. Reception was super friendly. The breakfast room was open when we arrived, so we took a little cake. The maid then made us feel as if we'd stolen a bar of gold. They should close the breakfast room or not make a fuss when someone takes a cake, especially when the cakes aren't fresh. Fresh orange juice at breakfast would also be an improvement.

The hotel is close to Salamanca's old city, yet it was quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choices, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed as part of a tour.
