Los Angeles Plaza

You’d be hard pressed to find a better hotel at this price. The location is unmatched, right above plaza mayor in the middle of the city. The staff are lovely and attentive, and happy to help you get around. There’s private indoor parking behind a gate, with cameras, a minute’s walk away. It costs €20 extra, and was great for us with a car full of stuff. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for an extra kid. The beds are okay for the price, and the showers weren’t the best I’ve had, but they do the job and are clean. The price for the quality is superb. An easy five stars. Thanks, guys!

David was so friendly and explained what there was to see and where to eat. The room was spacious and clean, with a spectacular view of Plaza Mayor. The shared bathroom was clean too. Recommendable.

The beds were awful, and some of us couldn’t sleep at all. We also had shared bathrooms for several rooms, and the advertised views turned out to be ridiculous views of a back alley. Pets were barely tolerated, despite the place being advertised as pet friendly. There’s no elevator, and the medieval-style stairs were hard to climb for the three stories up to our room. It was the worst night of our trip, with the added feeling that we’d been ripped off. They call it a hotel, but it’s really a boardinghouse. We never would have booked a night there.

The man at the desk lies, and the description is a lie too. This place was so bad I can’t put it into words. Avoid it at all costs. If it’s your only hotel option, skip the city. I’d give it a negative rating if I could. You’ve been warned.
