We left feeling genuinely looked after. When our friend was injured on the Camino, the staff stayed with us, checked that everything was all right, and even helped us wash our clothes. They were incredibly kind. I’d happily recommend this hostel to pilgrims and other travelers in Salas.

You can put together your own breakfast from the food provided, which makes an early start easy. They also give you a key so you can get in after the staff leave. There wasn’t anyone around after 6. The room is shared, but the beds don’t squeak.

Everything was clean, and the kitchen was great. The location is central, close to the supermarket and town center. We stayed one night, and the staff went out of their way to help us. They were fantastic, and I was very happy with the stay. I highly recommend this Alberque.

The host was nice, and my double room had a sink and looked out over the church plaza. It was €20 with a shared bathroom, while the albergue next door costs €12. The picture is of my pack drying on the balcony.
