We stumbled on this place while heading toward Pedraforca, Andorra, and the Pyrenees, and I’m so glad we did. It’s a rare find, a comfortable, luxurious hotel rather than a bunkhouse hostel. Our room was spotless and opened onto a private balcony with mountain views. Dinner in the dining room was wonderful and made my heart happy. The soups and Catalan cream were especially delicious. The staff were kind, funny, and very helpful. It felt like a refuge from busy Barcelona, and I’d gladly visit again.

At sunset, the pool and terrace look straight onto Pedraforca, and the hostal’s cozy common areas are lovely places to unwind. The building is easy to find, with plenty of signs along the way and a large free parking area. The location is beautiful, right across from the Pedraforca mountain complex, and there’s lots to explore around Saldes and Gósol. Reception can help with information about local activities. The staff were exceptionally warm, professional, and efficient. They were happy to translate from Catalan into Spanish and English and explain what was in the dishes. Breakfast was a generous buffet and regularly replenished. For dinner, the menu had plenty of choices made with local products.

The restaurant food and location are amazing. The room was clean and usable, though it could do with a bit more maintenance. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We stopped in while passing Pedraforca, and what a lovely experience. The restaurant was wonderful and very accommodating with our dog. You can see how much pride every worker takes in the place. I’d happily recommend the restaurant, and can imagine the hotel services are just as good.

The mountain views are stunning, the food was great, and the staff were lovely. I can’t remember the name of the dish I had, but it was amazing and unlike anything I’d tasted before. I’ll definitely come back someday 👌🏼
