We came to enjoy the cold, and the tents had a great kitchen for making dinner, then relaxing with wine by the fireplace after a day on the trails. Just remember to bring food in the low season. The restaurant and SPA only open in summer, and there aren’t any supermarkets nearby. Reception has a small shop with a few basics for emergencies, like snacks, drinks, wine, hygiene items, and barbecue charcoal. Prices are much more reasonable in the low season, but services are limited. The setting is fantastic, close to natural parks, scenic viewpoints, and wild hiking trails, well away from crowded tourist areas. It’s a great way to experience the local culture. We could see stars through the tent’s transparent roof, though ours hadn’t been cleaned, so the view through it was limited. That wasn’t a big deal, since we could just step outside. With no light pollution, the stars were far more visible than in a major city. I think this is the best campsite I’ve ever stayed at.

We had a memorable evening eating and drinking beer around the fire, with fantastic views of the Pyrenees. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless and well maintained. We were made to feel welcome, and there was plenty of room for our eight Land Rovers and tents during our one night here on a cross-Pyrenees trip. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The shared bathrooms and laundry rooms were very clean and seemed new. Some other parts of the campsite look a little dated, but manager Mark said they renovate it piece by piece from time to time, which sounds promising. The pools were a really nice extra. We had to make a change after our first night in one of the cheapest small cabins. It was full of insects and didn’t seem comfortable enough for four nights, so we moved to a larger bungalow. That was much better, with air conditioning, a private toilet and bathroom, and a comfortable bed in a clean space. The cutlery was sparse, and the knives were quite blunt, which made cooking harder than expected. The restaurant was being redone while we were there, so we couldn’t try a meal. Also, the nearest large supermarket is a 30-minute drive away in Berga, so it’s worth doing one big grocery shop if you’re staying several nights 😅

There’s a good range of places to stay here, from bungalows and caravans to pitches for RVs and tents, plus plenty of amenities. Many spots have lovely mountain views. We rented a tent pitch and could choose between several areas. We picked a private spot beside the forest and were able to have a BBQ, which was great. The only downside was the rather rude reception staff, so four stars.

A small, quiet campsite with a homely feel, right in nature. The hillside pitches sit under pine trees, so tents and caravans get plenty of shade. There’s an indoor pool, a little shop for essentials, a cozy restaurant, and clean, heated bathroom facilities. Check-in and checkout were smooth, with several people working at reception. You can set off hiking directly from the site, and there’s a fun climbing forest about a 10-minute drive away. The Pedraforca views are amazing. I’d recommend it to anyone after a peaceful stay surrounded by nature.
