The village has no cell phone service, though the Wi-Fi works well, which is perfect if you want to disconnect. The receptionist was very friendly. The apartment is lovely, in a spectacular, peaceful spot beside the river and surrounded by mountains.

The village is incredibly quiet, and there’s a hostel where you can eat very well. It’s also a great base for some of Somiedo’s most popular hikes, including the Saliencia Lakes Trail. The apartments are very nice, with tasteful furnishings and decor. I highly recommend them.

We spent a week exploring the area and had a very pleasant, comfortable stay in an unparalleled setting. There are two restaurants in the village. For shopping, you’ll need to go to another village 15 km away. The accommodation has Wi-Fi, though Movistar is the only mobile network with coverage.

We stayed for 5 days and had a really, really nice time. A small river runs beside the place, and the peaceful atmosphere is amazing. The owner was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. I go to the gym regularly, so I appreciated the small gym they have. Parking is outside the village, just a couple of minutes’ walk away. If you have luggage, you can drive up to the gate to unload before leaving the car outside. I spotted a few cobwebs in some corners, but otherwise the place was very clean.

We were three friends, and after our car broke down we arrived by taxi feeling a bit discouraged. This place turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. The owner was incredibly helpful, and we’ll always be grateful. The accommodation was 10/10, with incredible beds, everything included, great views, and it was super clean. We can’t wait to go back!
