Las Dunas Hostel

It was easy getting around from here: the bus from Asturias airport and the short walk made arrival simple, and buses to nearby areas were easy to catch too. The place was clean and friendly, close to a long, sandy beach that's great for surfing.

Gonzalo made our surf lessons such a memorable experience. He knows his stuff and helped us catch waves, understand them, and enjoy being out there. On top of that, he's a wonderful person. Thanks so much, we hope to come back soon!

The room was dirty, and the two bathrooms shared by all the guests were disgusting. Only two of the four showers worked, and they were filthy and wouldn't drain properly. I paid 35 euros for a bed. The whole booking situation was a mess. They called on the day of my reservation to say they'd made a mistake and had no beds. I explained that everything else was full and I had nowhere to go, so they offered me a free mattress on the floor. I thanked them, but when I got there they said a bed was available after all. Breakfast was included from 8 am. I had to leave early and asked if they could set something aside. They handed me half a loaf of Bimbo bread and jam, acting indifferent, like it was a favor. When I asked for plates and cutlery, they rudely said NO without even looking at me, then carried on with their work. Awful service. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.

I came on my own, but everyone was so welcoming that it felt like being with family. Such a joyful atmosphere, and the people here have a great vibe. The monitors were excellent and the staff really attentive. Amazing place!
