The beer was cold and the potato tart was okay. That’s about all I can praise. Most of the food was bad, and much of it seemed to be microwaved prepared food. We eventually went inside to order at the bar, after everyone around us had been served and we still hadn’t. We arrived at 2pm, a normal time for Spain, and the outdoor tables looked nice. Other people who arrived well after us got clean tables and food service. We’ve travelled extensively in Spain and almost never had this problem. We speak Spanish through a translator, admittedly, but it felt like we were deliberately treated worse because we weren’t Spanish.

For 14 euros, including wine, the three-course set meal was worth having. There were still plenty of choices, with good portions and presentation, friendly service, and straightforward food. I’d visit again when I’m nearby.

The food was already being served when we arrived, but while they were clearing a table for us, they shut the kitchen. They could have told us beforehand instead of making us wait. In the end we ordered cold plates, croquetas, and a tortilla pintxo, and it was really bad, actually disgusting.

For 50.40, I got a clean, comfortable room with an en-suite shower and a small bath. It’s a Hostal, so don’t expect luxury, but I thought it was great value and would recommend it. The village is really nice too.

We were treated rudely by the waitress inside, and there’s no table service. It’s quite expensive for what you get. Terrible service. There are better places in Sallent, so avoid it if you can.
