Sno Hotel Formigal

The staff made us feel very welcome. I came with my parents, and everyone was helpful and professional. I travel for work a lot, so I really appreciate being treated well. Special thanks to the employee with a tattoo on his left arm, I think his name was Arturo. He was kind and professional and gave us excellent service. We’ll recommend the hotel to friends and family. The bedroom was large, the views were stunning, and breakfast had a good range of options.

The restaurant had a great selection and was very good value. The minibus to and from the ski lifts was handy, and the boot and ski room worked well. It’s a great family hotel, with large, comfortable rooms that were cleaned meticulously and serviced every day.

The hotel is cute, but the stay didn’t feel like a four star experience. We arrived at 9 PM to find our room still wasn’t ready, and after three attempts we were put in the smallest room, one we hadn’t booked or asked for. They never fixed the situation during the week. It seems like it used to be a good place, but now it’s run by “kids” who don’t understand professional standards or conduct. They hire outside food services with poor quality and service, and don’t seem to care. For the first three days, they didn’t even have plain black coffee. I could say more….

The location is great, the breakfast buffet was really good, and the staff were lovely and very focused on guests. That’s about all this hotel has going for it. It’s old and totally outdated, and seems to have become a place for student ski weeks. There must have been 100 high schoolers there. The “spa” is a joke: a small, lukewarm pool and a hot tub that hasn’t worked in ages. If you want a four star stay, go to Hotel Sno Aragon. In Formigal, book dinner well ahead since the few restaurants there can’t fit walk-ins. Enjoy the fabulous skiing!
