Alannia Salou Resort

The relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere at Alannia Hotel made for a wonderful visit in April. We felt safe, and the buffet had a good range for different tastes. Our bright, spacious room was spotlessly clean, and the housekeeping staff were especially polite and attentive, ready to help us each day. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

The hotel was beautiful and new, and the entertainment was fantastic, but we wouldn’t return. We stayed ten days as a family, and the food was disappointing for the price. There was little choice, it was repetitive and not always tasty. For two days it might be fine, but eating the same things for ten days gets tiring. We saw ham only twice during the whole holiday. The rest of the time, as my husband and I called it, was “do it yourself” food. The final straw was getting chia seeds in yogurt and rice porridge in an unclear liquid instead of cakes and desserts. We could hear people walking around upstairs from our first-floor room. With a family and children above us, that was very uncomfortable.

The location made family outings easy, with the beach, town, and water parks close by, and PortAventura World about five minutes away by taxi. We were six, and got two ground-floor rooms with a small private garden, sun loungers, and an interconnecting door. That setup was really helpful. I’d worried about privacy around the shower and toilet, but the design worked well and we felt comfortable. Housekeeping was faultless. They regularly brought fresh towels and clean bedding, and quickly helped replace the bedding after one of the kids had a little accident. Reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful, the resort was spotless, and the pool was great for adults and children. The rooms were clean and modern. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, including a brilliant Michael Jackson tribute act. We were half board, and the food was good, though the selection wasn’t always huge, possibly because it wasn’t very busy. That didn’t change how much we enjoyed the stay. We came last week with my partner and our four children, and we’re already talking about returning next year. Thank you, Alannia Salou.

The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Our room was exceptionally clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed. From start to finish, it was a five-star stay. I recommend this hotel for a lovely family break.
