Hotel Niza Salou

A friend recommended this hotel last week, mentioning the location, clean rooms, and good service. I’d like to stay there myself soon.

It was generally okay for a short stop, but I spotted the air conditioning unit and wish I hadn’t looked. The whole indoor unit was heavily covered in mold, so we didn’t switch it on again. That’s unacceptable, and a serious health risk the operator seems willing to accept.

There's a great atmosphere here, and the location puts you right in the center of Salou, with cafes, shops, and supermarkets just across the road. Reception staff were friendly and ready to help at any time of day. Housekeeping comes daily, of course. If you want a quiet morning, put out the "do not disturb" sign, hehe.

The outside looks charming, but inside the place is falling apart. The blinds are in bad shape and look ready to come down, and there are deep cracks in the walls. The bathroom was dirty, the beds uncomfortable, and there was no Wi-Fi because they didn't know the password. It's noisy too, you can hear people in the next room using the toilet. The lights and sockets are awkwardly placed, with chargers almost inside the pillow. Service was poor, and an elderly woman treated us very badly.
