Inter2 Salou Apartments

The entertainment team were great and put on good shows. There was plenty for younger children, but not much for teenagers or older kids. The pool was nice, and local shops and two very nice beaches are close by. Those are the only positives I can think of, and I absolutely wouldn’t return. We stayed for a week with two teenagers, and it was awful. The food was bland, freezing cold and the same every day. We ate out several times to get a decent meal, and the snack bar was very limited and didn’t open until 2 p.m. Drinks were limited to one alcoholic drink per person at a time, and only certain spirits were included in all-inclusive. After 11 p.m., when the main entertainment show started, drinks were no longer included and had to be paid for. The room was adequate but run-down and badly in need of redecoration. They provided clean towels and bedding every other day, but we were expected to clean the room ourselves using the mops and brooms inside it. In fact, the room wasn’t cleaned once during our stay. They also took a £100 deposit at check-in, on top of the expected tourist tax. The large deposit isn’t mentioned and could catch people out.

For a cheap holiday, it has the basics, but don’t expect anything more. The location is good for beaches and shopping. The food was okay, though not very hot, and the all-inclusive drinks barely covered most spirits. The pool was very cold, and you had to buy a sundowner mat. Reception staff were rude and acted as if they didn’t want to help or speak to us, while the bar and restaurant staff were lovely. The entertainment team were great and made sure both kids and adults were entertained. We stayed six days. The room wasn’t cleaned once, though we got fresh towels and the beds were made. We ended up buying bleach.

I spent five nights at Inter 2 in Salou with my two young children, and the stay was deeply disappointing. Although I’d booked the hotel, we were put in an apartment across the road. It was in terrible condition, with a persistent bad smell, dirty doors and broken beds whose support bars underneath were useless. The beds were uncomfortable and unsafe. The sofa bed was so filthy that I wouldn’t sit on it myself, let alone let my children near it. There were signs of bed bugs, and we came away covered in bites. The toilet gave off a foul smell that was never dealt with. Rubbish bags were collected only once during our five-night stay, making the poor hygiene even worse with two small children. This place isn’t maintained to an acceptable standard and is completely unsuitable for families. I can’t recommend Inter 2 to anyone and would strongly advise booking somewhere else in Salou for your health, comfort and safety.

The entertainment was the best part of our stay. The team were great, there was always something fun going on, and the kids loved it. Special thanks to demi for making sure our little girl joined in. She’ll miss you loads. We paid £1500 for a week all-inclusive and weren’t expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our one-bedroom apartment was plenty big enough, clean, and had fresh towels and bedding every other day. The food was okay, with limited choice, but we always found something to eat. The one-drink-per-person rule is annoying, though I understand why they have it, and it wasn’t a big deal. For the price, it was better than I expected. Ignore the bad reviews. Holidays are what you make of them!
