Jerez Plaza Europa Urbanization Costa Dorada- Salou

The entertainment staff were fabulous, and the rooms were okay. The area is lovely, but I won’t be back to that hotel. I paid £5000 for a two-week holiday for five of us: three adults and two children. I’m from Belfast Ireland, and I wanted to give my mother a birthday trip to Spain since she’d never been there. I’d travelled around a lot when I was younger, but I won’t go into all that, sorry lol. We ended up eating out every morning, day, and night because the food was terrible. They wouldn’t accommodate my autistic son’s food needs. Despite paying for five people, the all-inclusive plan wasn’t really all-inclusive, and the strict rule was two drinks per person. To get five drinks for the family, I had to make three trips to the bar. Bringing people along would have meant leaving the kids unwatched lol. Some of the bar staff were okay, but others were rude and a bit creepy around kids. Reception staff didn’t speak English or understand us, though lol, they seemed to when they wanted to.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was lovely, the staff were great, and everything was very close by.

Stay well away. These apartments look like they haven’t been updated in at least 15yrs.

The apartment was mostly okay in itself, but it was covered in grime. The extractor over the hob could grow a whole ecosystem, the tablecloths were dirty, and the bathroom was filthy. Its shower head was awful and only ran freezing cold water until a very kind man fixed it. Cooking was a struggle too: the hob worked only now and then, and the only frying pan was badly dented and useless. We’d expected more from the Booking.com description and felt completely ripped off. The pool was empty when we arrived, with no mention in the listing that it wouldn’t open until the end of June. Booking.com had said the pool was included and even described a pool view. When we collected the keys, we were told which one opened each door and warned that one was damaged. We only managed to get in properly twice. The other times, a neighbor or, in the early hours, security let us in. The security guards were very kind, but said the key was so badly made it wouldn’t work again. The woman handing over the keys even showed us which one was for the pool, and it felt like she was laughing at us. The apartment is meant for 5 people, with two sleeping on the sofa bed, but there were no sheets for it and the mattress was unusable, even for a 5-year-old. We wouldn’t recommend the place at all.
