Mediterranean Suites

We went on July 12 for two weeks, and I wouldn’t stay here again. The staff were so rude. Our room was cleaned once, and by “cleaned” I mean they only made the beds. For five people over two weeks, we were given just one roll of toilet paper. The bar closed at 8, though the bar staff were nice. We were told to leave our three kids’ swimming lilos behind a wall where they’re kept. The next morning all three had been cut open, and the kids were upset.

We went last August as two adults with two kids under 10, and honestly it was better than I expected for the price. The rooms were clean, with a TV, shower and balcony. Staff all seemed okay, and there weren’t any major language barriers, even when I called the women “duck” and they didn’t understand. There are shops, the beach and a Burger King across the road, plus regular buses and taxis. Around the corner there’s a bike and scooter shop, with mobility scooters that you can ride two or three at a time. There were quite a few English reps handing out leaflets and bar deals, and a couple had been in Salou for over 15 years. Good enough to stay with your kids on holiday. Remember you’re on holiday and need to get out and about. It’s a nice warm place, and we’re thinking of coming back this year.

Absolute dump. The place looks nothing like the pictures, the pool’s so small you could jump over it, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. They don’t clean the rooms like they say they will. Worst place I’ve ever been. If I could, I’d give it minus one star.

The rooms are very spacious and clean, and they’re adequate. The hotel is close to everything, but it could do with a refurbishment.
