Hostal Costa Victoria

We came for dinner and the food was a delicious surprise. I really appreciated that they made an effort to speak English. There’s no written menu, but you can ask the guy to repeat it as many times as you need. Such an outgoing personality xx

Way overpriced. The salad tasted like it came from a supermarket, and the service amounted to a delayed grunt. My Spanish isn’t great, but I still make an effort to be polite and order in Spanish, much more than the waiter did.

The sheets didn’t look clean, which was the icing on the cake. I thought I’d booked a jacuzzi suite, but it was really just a big tub, which might’ve been fine if there’d been water pressure. The shower was only a drizzle. The heating was a joke too, I slept in pants, a fleece coat, a hat and a sleeping bag and still woke up cold.

I asked for water, and when he asked sparkling or still, I answered. He brought wine instead. When I pointed out the mistake, he just wagged his finger and walked off. The Spanish customers were treated really well. I’ve never been treated so badly by a waiter.
