Vibra Marco Polo II Hotel

We ended up paying to move into one of the three available rooms, and even then the balcony door wouldn't lock. The room beside us had parties going until 6am. I tried calling reception, which is in the next building, but the phone didn't work. Nobody seemed to know what was going on in the building, and there was no sense of hospitality or security at Marco Polo II. The original room was dirty, the toilet was so close to the sink that my legs went underneath it, and the hot tap didn't work. When we complained, the manager was rude and didn't apologize. She avoided eye contact and turned her back while replying.

The location is the one thing that earned this hotel an extra star. Our stay was awful and disappointing, and we're now in need of another holiday to recover. No one seemed to be watching over the building's safety, and loud music carried into the early hours with no regard for guests trying to sleep. We could hear people in rooms beside us and above us, doors slamming, and groups chatting in the corridor. Our room wasn't cleaned during the whole five days, even after we asked. The manager was extremely rude and didn't apologize for the inadequate rooms. We changed rooms and paid more, only to find both rooms filthy and poorly equipped. There was no hot running water, the air conditioning was broken, the balcony doors wouldn't lock, and the toilet was tucked under the bathroom sink.

The pool by day was absolutely banging 👌🏼🍾. The team were so accommodating, and they cleaned the rooms every morning. I hadn't expected the hotel to be as clean as it was. Top job by all the staff, highly recommended.

I had a really enjoyable stay. Breakfast had a great choice, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Having two pools was a bonus: one was lively, the other quieter and good for unwinding. Guests could use either pool at Polo I or Polo II. The room was a little dated but worked fine, the bed was comfortable, and the nighttime noise didn't bother me much. One odd moment did leave a bad taste. I was taking a bottle of water to the pool when a staff member firmly told me outside water wasn't allowed because it hadn't been bought there. I can understand rules about outside food or alcohol, but water felt excessive. What made it surreal was that the same staff member seemed not to notice, or chose to ignore, other guests openly using cocaine by the pool. Still, I had a lovely time and would consider coming back.
