Gustavo, one of the chefs, is always smiling and happy to help. My niece can’t have gluten, and he makes sure there’s pasta or something else suitable for her. Ali, one of the managers, is also especially helpful, great with the kids, and always makes us feel welcome. We’ve returned to this hotel for four years running, and this time our group of 10, adults and children, stayed for 10 days in the middle of February. The dining area is lovely, there’s a good range of pools at different temperatures and a few little slides, and the bar area is clean and well stocked. The entertainment team are friendly and talented. My daughters love the shows and daytime games, and my nephew particularly liked Ewan.

We had lovely rooms, and the cleaners were excellent and friendly. Most staff are nice, though the bar team can seem a bit standoffish. The location is okay but feels a little out on its own, and it’s 154 steps down to the beach. There was plenty of choice at every meal in the restaurant, and the food there was lovely. The pool bar offering was dreadful, cold and dried out, like a poor token effort. The drinks selection is good, but the wine tastes like paint stripper and the cocktails are so sweet you’ll get diabetes after one!

We had different food to choose from each day, and it was tasty. The beds were really comfortable, and the whole place was beautifully clean. Shuffleboard was great fun too. The pools looked lovely, especially at night, though the deep one was freezing. The middle-sized pool was fine. It got very windy at the end of our February holiday, and we were glad we’d brought our wetsuits. We’d love to stay here again.

The family room had plenty of space, including a balcony where our 2 and 4 year old could run around without us worrying. This isn’t the Ritz, but it’s a fantastic all-inclusive spot for families, with enough food variety for everyone in my opinion. Things can get samey, as they can anywhere, but you can take a cab to the yumbo centre or walk towards the beach front for a change. The pools are great. One is cold, but honestly, in the heat it’s welcome. Most of all, it’s the staff and entertainment team who made this holiday what it was. Alison, Jessica, Luca, Aiden, Ashley, Yousef, Anna,Lucas, I hope I remembered everyone’s names. I can’t thank you enough for the attention and memories you gave our kids, especially Walter. He’s had the best time, and from our own childhood holidays we know he’ll remember you all, and miss the hugs and high fives. We have one day left of our first family holiday in the sun, and I felt I had to write this. If you’re a family worried about the kids having enough to do and being safe, this place should ease that anxiety. Thank you for being part of our core memory. We hope to be back soon!
