Acapulco Ocean View

The service was really friendly, and the sea view was very good. Some apartments are in the first row, with just a small pedestrian road in front. Rooms were okay but only partly clean, and some kitchen equipment didn’t work properly. Parking can be hard to find and take a long time on busy days, especially later in the evening.

There’s not much going on nearby, which was lovely. It’s a quiet spot by the sea, and we could see the water from our balcony, though the sun was gone by around 2pm. We moved to the pool, where it stayed sunny until early evening. We didn’t fancy the generic restaurant onsite or the other one about 100m up the hill. But 500m away, by Aguila beach, there’s a great little canarian restaurant.

We stayed in apartment 201, which was very spacious and good value, with a decent sea view and, best of all, a shaded porch where we could enjoy the weather all day. The apartments are lovely and the location is a little away from the tourism madness. The pool and the rest of the complex were clean and very well looked after. I’d skip breakfast or meals at the onsite restaurant. It’s lovely to have breakfast and watch the sunrise from the porch, and the local restaurant is a short walk away, better value, and has a stunning view. Parking is a challenge, to put it mildly, so I’d recommend booking it with the apartments.

The best part was the quiet, lovely beach just 20m away, and the view over the beach and ocean was great. The room stayed clean, and we’d probably come again, just without the inclusive package. There aren’t many restaurants close by. The hotel restaurant is very small and required reservations, so it was easier for us to cook in our room, which was fairly well equipped. The bedroom was basic, with one blanket for a couple, and had a strange cigarette smell that wasn’t pleasant for non-smokers. Some nights were a bit noisy, but nothing too extreme. There are very few rental car parking spaces. Breakfast was underwhelming. The options were very limited, and either all the utensils were in use, with no plates, cups, or forks, or about half of the already small food selection had run out. Replenishment was very slow, if it happened at all.
