I had a pleasant nine-night stay in this safe, quiet location. The rooms all have good views, reception is open 24 hours, and the room safe costs €15 a week. A bus to Maspalomas is €1.40, or a taxi is €7-€8.

A good choice for a budget holiday, with plenty of places to visit a short drive away. The staff were welcoming, spoke English and arranged taxis for us. There's a cash machine on site, plus a restaurant downstairs and pizza to take away.

The balcony view each morning was gorgeous, and the apartment was spacious, comfortable and well looked after. Reception staff were friendly and accommodating, and our cleaner was lovely and so friendly. The pool was okay, but the surface should be non-slip. My child slipped badly while playing near the kids pool and hit her head hard. Parking was the other downside: the on-site underground car park costs €10 a night, or you can try your luck with very limited street parking. If you're not back by 12pm, you may spend ages driving around hoping someone leaves. The hotel is far from the main nightlife, so getting around means taxis or hiring a car. Apart from that, we had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The town itself is a bit dull, but hiring a car locally is good value and opens up plenty of trips. There are regular buses to Maspalomas, the place to go for a night out these days, with the more traditional resorts of San Agustin and Playa del Ingles in between. A corner shop is just 20 paces from the hotel and visible from it, with reasonable prices, especially for milk, butter, bread and other essentials. The apartments are clean and to a good standard, and arguably better value than similar places nearby. The poolside area and roof are small but quite good.
